Conveniently located in the heart of New York City at 51st Street near Fifth Avenue (see map); diagonally across from St. Patrick’s Cathedral and a short walk from Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center and Manhattan’s Theatre District. The nine-story building offers old-world charm with a warm and welcoming ambiance in a smoke-free environment. The Lobby
The Lambs is housed in a private club facility known as the 3 West Club. A concierge is available 24-hours. Guests visiting The Lambs are greeted by our members in the lobby. Members may occasionally leave items here for convenient pick-up. Members may also choose to have mail sent to them c/o The Lambs. Members are requested to check packages and all outerwear during inclement weather. Proper dress is required; no jeans, sneakers or T-shirts. Restrooms are conveniently located in the lobby.
The 2nd Floor Grand Ballroom
Located on the second floor, the Grand Ballroom can accommodate over 200 guests. This glamorous space, with a two-story high ceiling and dual chandeliers, is used for an assortment of events including our annual holiday party, luncheons and performances. This space is available to rent for private functions and parties with full catering services.
The 2m Pub
The bar and restaurant where The Lambs holds its weekly Low Jinks (happy hour). Open Monday to Friday for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. All purchases are charged to member house accounts and billed monthly; credit cards are also accepted. There is no minimum spending requirement. All purchases are subject to a administration fee and tax. Our friendly staff always knows how we like our drinks, how often, and when!
The 3rd Floor Dining Salon
The elegant Grand Salon is an intimate ballroom, boasting not only two spectacular chandeliers inside the room, but yet another in the foyer, and two fireplaces at either end of the room, with picturesque marble mantelpieces, each have large mirrors just above which reflect the room and chandeliers beautifully.
The 4th Floor Lounge
4th floor rooms include the Pratt Lounge, the Library and the Lincoln Room. Each may be used for meetings when scheduled with building management. Lambs’ activities here have included cocktail parties, piano recitals and board meetings. Members may rent these rooms at a discounted rate.
The 5th Floor Lambs Quarters
The Lambs’ 5th floor quarters – our recently renovated private floor is for members only and not open to the general public. Guests must be accompanied by a member when visiting. It’s available to all members 24-hours 7-days a week. Our facilities include two rehearsal rooms with Steinway pianos, a black-box style performance space with a Steinway baby grand piano and theatrical lighting; a pool room with television and VHS/DVD player; two restrooms; an office area with file cabinet (for members to keep photos and resumes if they wish), a computer with internet access, a dart board, issues trade publications. WiFi is available throughout the floor. Our artwork and memorabilia proudly adorn the space. Floors 6-8
27 guest suites are available for a discounted member rate (plus administration fee and appropriate taxes). Please note: The Lambs does not handle room reservations — those must be made with the building management.
The 9th Floor Solarium
The entire south wall is glass-enclosed with French doors leading out to a large outdoor terrace with additional outdoor seating and stunning views. A retractable awning makes this space usable rain or shine.
