He was elected to The Lambs in 1969. After time away, he rejoined the Club in 2005. He has served as curator of The Lambs’s Foundation art collection, and created its first catalog. He served on the Lambs’ Council.
His career was as a professor of technical theatre. He grew up in Evanston, Illinois. He attended college at St. John’s (Annapolis) where he did the set and lights for Oedipus, Androcles and the Lion, and Volpone. He received his BA in Theatre from the University of Wisconsin and his MA from the University of Illinois.
He has taught at the University of Miami (where former Shepherd Bruce Brown was among his students), North Carolina College at Durham; at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and Penn State.
He became an out-of-town Lamb, joined Skirpan Lighting Control first as salesman, then as the Manager of East Coast Operations; Assistant to the President. Upon leaving Skirpan he became a Consultant/Lighting Designer. His clients have included CBS, ABC, and NBC.
In 2005 he discovered and rejoined The Lambs.
