Shepherd's Luncheons

Lavish buffets including wine, at modest prices, are held where interesting guest speakers inform and entertain capacity crowds. Guests have included author and biographer Joan Peyser;  Peter Kiefer, coordinator of the Fred Waring's America Collection at the Penn State University's Pattee Library; Sean Malone, President of the Ten Chimney's Foundation (the estate of the Lunts); and the NY Local President of Screen Actors Guild, and the NY Local President of AFTRA; well known comedian Pat Cooper has entertained attendees in our Solarium, as illustrated in these photos; Famed pianist and arranger Peter Howard, also pictured below, played, sang, and regaled stories in our packed theater space....and Ted Chapin, President of the Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization, talked of the original production of Follies. Most recently, Academy Award winning actor Cliff Robertson spoke at our luncheon where he was made an Honorary Member of The Lambs.
